HOME        DOES        HERD SIRES        BREEDINGS        LINKS        CONTACT

Welcome!

Clouds are connecting; thunder rumbles in the distance.  Soon the calming scent of the earth abounds with moisture intensifying it, and the does are relaxed and happy.  Some are chewing their cud, others may be going outside to look at the grey blue sky and watch the tall grass ripple in the wind.  The frogs in the pond start singing love songs, and soon the first few drops of rain hit the metal barn roof.  My fondest memories of my goats trace back to those warm days in the barn, surrounded by my girls, and watching it rain.  And listening.  These peaceful times I have with my goats brings you my herd called Rain Shower,
previously known as Ozarks Valley.

I raise purebred LaManchas in the Ozarks of Missouri.  They are registered with the American Dairy Goat Association.  Originally only consisting of Alpines, LaManchas were added to the herd in 2009.  Since getting married, I left the alpines with my parents and have focused on the LaManchas.  My parents have chosen to retain the herd name Ozarks Valley.
My LaManchas come from some wonderful genetics.  I prefer to focus on breeding an "old-style" LaMancha, a strong, heavier boned dairy goat that is correct in conformation and milks over a gallon a day.

We also will be raising purebred English Shepherds for farm work.
